Profiles

The list

The Profiles screen is a table of every profile in the current folder. Columns: Start/Stop, Name (with the operating system glyph and a pin when pinned), Status, Proxy, Tags, Notes, Last opened. Columns leave one by one as the window narrows; the header’s gear shows which are hidden.

Above the table:

• Search by name, tag or proxy (the scope button on the left of the field).
• Views: All, Running, Pinned, Recent, Needs attention (profiles that crashed or whose proxy failed its last check).
• Bulk toolbar: tick rows, then Start, Stop, Export cookies, Import cookies, Move to folder, Tags or Delete for all of them at once. Confirmations list the names.

Sorting is case-insensitive and numeric-aware, so shop 2 comes before shop 10.

Status

Word	Meaning
Running (green)	The browser window is open. Stop closes it.
Stopping (amber)	The browser is being closed; wait a moment.
Stopped (grey)	Nothing is open. Start opens the browser.
Error (red)	The browser exited unexpectedly. Hover the word for the reason; Start tries again.

A profile cannot run twice. Closing the browser window yourself is the same as Stop.

Creating and editing a profile

Create profile (top right) opens the editor. Only the name is required.

Field	What it does
Name	Unique, case-insensitive. Used in the list, the command line and the API.
Folder	One folder per profile.
Proxy	Pick a saved proxy or paste a new line. “No proxy” uses your computer’s connection.
Operating system	The system the browser presents: Windows or Linux. Default: your own.
Tags, Notes	Free-form.
Start URLs	Pages opened in tabs on every start.
Extensions (Advanced)	Extensions from the library loaded in this profile.
Pin a browser version (Advanced)	Keep this profile on a specific engine release.

Edit a profile from the ⋮ menu or by double-clicking the row. Changes to the proxy, extensions or start URLs apply at the next start.

Browser identity

Every profile presents a coherent machine to websites: operating system, graphics card, screen, fonts, memory, time zone and languages. Ant0 generates it when the profile is created and pins it, so the same profile looks the same tomorrow. Time zone and languages follow the proxy’s exit country unless you set them by hand in the editor.

The identity is generated by Ant0, never copied from another tool: an imported profile gets a fresh coherent identity and keeps only its operating system family (see Import).

Duplicate, move, trash

• Duplicate copies the settings (folder, proxy, tags, notes, start URLs, extensions) into a new profile with a new identity and empty cookies.
• Move to folder and Tags work on one row or on a selection.
• Delete moves a profile to Trash, where it stays for 7 days with its cookies and data. Restore it from the Trash screen; “Delete permanently” removes the data folder for good. Running profiles cannot be deleted; stop them first.

Cookies and logins

Each profile keeps its own cookies, local storage and logins under the data folder. Export cookies and Import cookies are in the ⋮ menu and the bulk toolbar; see Cookies for formats.

From the command line

Everything above is available as ant0 profiles … and through the local API. A profile can be addressed by its id or its exact name:
